Unlocking sustainability in hospitality – shaping tomorrow’s accommodation sector

06/09/2024

As the accommodation industry becomes increasingly aware of the importance of sustainability for long-term success, our project aims to support stakeholders in meeting rising demands for socially, economically, and environmentally responsible practices.

The MAST project’s key initiative focuses on uncovering the impact of pro-sustainable practices across the hospitality sector in our consortium countries. Through our current activity, an in-depth empirical study involving at least 250+ small and medium accommodation businesses across five European countries, we aim to identify the key factors that influence the adoption of sustainability standards. Our research combines both qualitative and quantitative approaches, offering valuable insights for stakeholders in the tourism industry. By understanding the barriers and enablers of sustainable practices, we are shaping a more resilient and eco-friendly future for hospitality. This study doesn’t just inform future sustainability efforts within the MAST project, but sets the stage for meaningful change in how the hospitality sector operates across the Euro-MED region.

Herewith, we invite you to join us in this research and fill out the ten-minute survey. Thank you!

Are today’s practices enough to secure a greener future for the hospitality industry?
