Building on the foundations of the original MAST project, MAST PLUS moves from research to implementation by testing and validating the Sustainability Protocol, Self-Assessment Tool and Implementation Manual with accommodation SMEs across Mediterranean partner countries. Through pilot testing, Communities of Practice and transnational cooperation, the project refines these ISO 21401:2018-based tools to ensure they are practical, adaptable and transferable across diverse territorial contexts. By bridging the gap between sustainability ambition and everyday practice, MAST PLUS strengthens the resilience, competitiveness and long-term sustainability of the Mediterranean accommodation sector.
