On 25 and 26 June 2025, the MAST Interreg Euro-MED project proudly took part in the Paths That Last – Collaborating for a Sustainable Tourism in the Mediterranean conference, held in Split, Croatia.
Organised under the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism, the event gathered key stakeholders from various Interreg programmes, EU institutions, and regional actors to explore how to foster long-lasting, strategic approaches to sustainable tourism across the Mediterranean.
Over two days of panels, discussions, and workshops, participants addressed critical topics including:
-
Shared governance and coordinated tourism strategies
-
The green transition and climate resilience in tourism
-
Inclusive, accessible, and socially responsible tourism models
-
Innovation and digital transformation of tourism products
-
Strengthening synergies between Interreg and mainstream EU programmes
MAST contributed to the dialogue by sharing insights from its experience in integrating sustainability into tourism models while promoting cultural heritage and cross-border cooperation. The event also served as a platform for networking, peer learning, and identifying opportunities for future collaboration.
