The MAST project (MAking Sustainable Tourism possible) will conclude its implementation phase with a Final Event to be held in Urbino, Italy, on 4 February 2026, hosted by the University of Urbino, Department of Economics, Society and Politics.
The event will bring together project partners and invited stakeholders to reflect on the overall progress of the MAST project, review its key outputs, and discuss future perspectives for sustainable tourism in the accommodation sector.
The programme will focus on:
-
An overview of project activities, main results, and key findings across all Work Packages;
-
A collective discussion on the future of MAST, including possible follow-up actions and upcoming testing opportunities;
-
Practical insights through a guided visit to a hotel implementing eco-friendly restoration, circular economy approaches, and biodiversity-oriented practices;
-
A series of expert presentations, case studies, and a round table discussion addressing sustainability, innovation, and governance in tourism.
The Final Event will serve as an important moment for knowledge exchange, consolidation of results, and dialogue on how the MAST Sustainability Protocol and Self-Assessment Tool can continue supporting accommodation SMEs across the Mediterranean area.
Further details on registration will be shared in due course.
